Frequently Asked Questions

In French Caveau (pronounced Ca'vo) translates to vault, and also refers to a small wine cellar. More importantly, Le Caveau was the name of the famous literary, wine & gastronomic society formed in France in 1792 (perhaps the first food & wine society), which appealed since books, food and wine are passions we share.

We are open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm and lunch on the last Sunday of the month. Reservations are highly recommended.

Do we cater for children?

Caveau welcomes well behaved children, and encourages families with young children to dine early, which will allow us time to offer your children special attention. Whilst we do not offer a 'kids menu' per se, we can alter dishes to suit the childs needs. Please contact us in advance to arrange this.

Do we have Gift Vouchers?
We have gift vouchers for purchase at the restaurant or by phone. Gift vouchers can be made out to the amount you desire, and personalised with a message. Please telephone or email the restaurant 24 hours in advance to arrange.
